There is one mountain in Bogor whose existence may not be known by many people. The mountain is Mount Kencana. Located in Kampung Rawa Gede, Tugu Utara Village, Cisarua District, Bogor Regency, West Java.
Gunung Kencana can be said is not a real mountain. Only a hill that rises to an altitude of 1,803 masl, but still offers a sensation of wild nature and mystical stories for climbers.
To get to the top of Mount Kencana, you can enter through the Telaga Warna tourism area, Cisarua, Bogor Regency. After the entrance, you will immediately be faced with a challenging journey. A sharp rocky road for about 10 kilometers inevitably has to be traveled.
However, the green expanse of tea gardens in all directions seems to be a sweetener in the middle of the extreme road. Many small rivers are free to flow at some point which makes the mountain air more fresh and cool.
By traveling less than an hour, Sahabat Sporto can already stand at the summit of Mount Kencana. There are not many posts that you will meet along the climbing route. There are only two in total. Although the height is insignificant, preparation for this mountain is still needed.
The climbs on this mountain climbing path look pretty steep. There is an incline called the Sambalado Climbing. This initial track has been arranged in such a way that the woods are arranged into stairs. I don’t know what that means, what is clear, this climb has succeeded in making climbers fumble when passing through it.
The rest, there is no significant obstacle to reaching the top. Puncak Gunung Kencana covering 2 volleyball courts is large enough to accommodate many tents. View that is presented after arriving at the top is very charming. If the weather is clear, Mount Pangrango, Gunung Gede, and Mount Salak look dashing to greet you. In addition, the vast expanse of tea gardens in the Puncak area and the streets of Bogor City.
