In Banyuwangi, East Java, there is a special culinary named "Botok Tawon". Botok Tawon is made from beehive or in Javanese is called "tawon". The honeycomb which has been cut into small sizes is then wrapped in a banana leaf and given a spice "botok seasoning" (made from coconut dregs that have taken the juice, then seasoned with chili, salt, pepper and bay leaf, wrapped in a banana leaf, which then steamed in hot steam). Wasps Botok usually contains a wasp nest (bee), and also with the wasps larvae that is still attached, the taste of the Botok Wasp varies from sour, sweet, salty, spicy and savory. Wasps botok are usually served while still warm so they taste fresh.
