Malioboro Street
This interesting place from Yogyakarta succeeded in attracting visitors to stop by. The romantic atmosphere at night makes the tourist attractions in Malioboro street hunted by world tourists. With a 2.5 km long road that runs from Yogyakarta Monument to the Yogyakarta Post Office, this tourist area is never empty of visitors. Malioboro Street which is adjacent to the palace is referred to as one of the imaginary lines that can connect between Parangtritis Beach, Yogyakarta Palace and Mount Merapi. Formerly, Malioboro Street was only a quiet road with asam trees on the side of the road. Only as access road to be passed when going to the palace, Fort Vredeburg and Berinhardjo Market. The name Malioboro itself has two different versions, the first version said that this name comes from Sanskrit which means "garland", because there used to be a celebration every time at the palace, the Malioboro street is always filled with garlands, the second version, is said to originate from the name of a British aristocrat named Marlborough who settled in Yogyakarta around 1881-1816.
