This white snack is usually sold at fried food sellers in the Wonosobo area. Geblek is made from a mixture of starch and chives leaves and then fried until fluffy. This snack is tasty but a little tough. Geblek is not only sold in the mature form, some are sold raw so you can buy it for your family at home. Besides being tasty, geblek is also cheap so it is very fitting for tourists with a low budget.
Geblek is often equated with "cireng", because of the raw materials used, but both have different shapes and sizes. White geblek, looks like the number eight, and has a chewy texture when chewed. Geblek is better served and eaten while it's still hot, because when it's cold the geblek will taste harder and lose its savory taste.
